Matrimonios y divorcios transnacionales entre Brasil y España

Abstract

El trabajo analiza de forma descriptiva los matrimonios transnacionales de persona brasileña y española, y sus divorcios, profundizando en sus características y evolución, analizándose tanto los matrimonios heterosexuales como los homosexuales. Como marco comparativo se cuenta con el contexto de la población total y el conjunto de extranjeros en España. La metodología se basa en la explotación de datos secundarios. Se utilizan el Movimiento Nacional de la Población (MNP) y la Estadística de Nulidades, Separaciones y Divorcios (ENSD) entre 2015 y 2020. En los matrimonios binacionales con cónyuge brasileño existe mayor presencia de uniones con brasileñas que con brasileños. En el divorcio, la tasa para población brasileña es superior a la de españoles. La ruptura con brasileñas registra una tasa superior respecto al de maridos brasileños. Destaca, entre las características de estos divorcios, la acentuación de las custodias exclusivas y el alto porcentaje de padres que pagan pensiones alimenticias.

The work analyzes in a descriptive way the transnational marriages of Brazilian and Spanish persons, and their divorces, describing their characteristics and evolution, analyzing both heterosexual and homosexual marriages. As a comparative framework, we have the context of the total population and the set of foreigners in Spain. The methodology is based on the analysis of secondary data. The National Population Movement (NPM) and the Statistics of Nullities, Separations and Divorces (ENSD) between 2015 and 2020 are used. In binational marriages with a Brazilian spouse, there is a greater presence of unions with Brazilian women than with Brazilian men. In divorce, the rate for the Brazilian population is higher than that for Spaniards. Divorce with Brazilian women has a higher rate than that of Brazilian husbands. Among the characteristics of these divorces, the accentuation of exclusive custody and the high percentage of parents who pay alimony stand out.
