Poesía, reclusión y discontinuidad de la historia en Amuleto de Roberto Bolaño

Abstract

El presente artículo intenta pensar el lugar que para la poética de Bolaño tienen los poetas y la poesía. A partir de un análisis de Auxilio Lacouture, personaje principal de Amuleto, y del contexto de encierro en que se desarrolla toda la novela, se plantean hipótesis en torno a la relación entre imaginación, poesía y temporalidad. Para ello, partimos de las hipótesis de Frank Kermode (El sentido de un final) y Julia Kristeva (La revolution du langage poétique) con el propósito de pensar, por último, los modos en que la poesía puede contrarrestar las formas establecidas de narrar la historia.

This article attempts to think about the place of poets and poetry in Bolaño's poetics. Based on an analysis of Auxilio Lacouture, the main character in Amuleto, and the context of confinement in which the novel takes place, we propose hypotheses about the relationship between imagination, poetry, and temporality. To this end, we start from the hypotheses of Frank Kermode (The Sens of an Ending) and Julia Kristeva (La revolution du langage poétique) in order to consider, finally, the ways in which poetry can counteract the established ways of narrating history.
