Carlos V y la Universidad de Granada, un nuevo itinerario histórico-artístico

Abstract

Carlos V founded the University of Granada in 1526. The permanence o the founding memory in the city of Granada is manifested by an important and numerous artistic heritage that evokes and links it to its historical past. The aim is to convert the university heritage into cultural product, through the creation of a historical-artistic itinerary, which delves into the facet of the emperor as an educational patron, and which allows overcoming the reduced concept of the university as a temple of knowledge

Carlos V fundó la Universidad de Granada en 1526. La permanencia de la memoria fundacional en la ciudad granadina se manifiesta mediante un importante y numeroso patrimonio artístico que evoca y la vincula a su pasado histórico. Se pretende convertir el patrimonio universitario en un producto cultural, mediante la creación de un itinerario histórico-artístico, que ahonde en la faceta del emperador como patrono educativo y que permita superar el reducido concepto de la universidad como templo del saber.
