Continuidad y fragmentación en un paisaje vitivinícola

Abstract

Este artículo analiza la evolución histórica del paisaje cultural vitivinícola de Cebreros, en la provincia de Ávila, en el sureste de la comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León, así como las transformaciones que ha ido sufriendo a lo largo del tiempo para generar una específica memoria biocultural. Más allá de una mirada al dinamismo inherente a cualquier paisaje, estas páginas se plantean si la protección comercial del vino, que está permitiendo recuperar viñas abandonadas, está generando continuidades o rupturas de coherencia en los procesos de cambio del paisaje, así como el modo en que esto pudiera afectar a las etnoecologías históricamente producidas. Igualmente, se plantea de qué manera la existencia de límites administrativos políticamente generados condicionan los compromisos cognitivos de los habitantes de los lugares señalados y de quienes a ellos se acercan.

This paper analyzes the historical evolution of the cultural wine landscape of Cebreros, in the province of Ávila, in the southeast of the autonomous community of Castilla y León, and the transformations it has undergone over time to generate a specific biocultural memory. Beyond looking at the dynamism inherent in any cultural landscape, these pages consider whether the commercial protection of wine, which is allowing the recovery of abandoned vineyards, is generating continuities or breaks in coherence in the processes of landscape change, as well as the way in which that this could affect historically produced ethnoecologies. Likewise, it is proposed how the existence of politically generated administrative limits condition the cognitive commitments of the inhabitants of the indicated places and of those who approach them.
