Territorios invisibles, paisajes imaginados: análisis y alternativas sobre la problemática del no-lugar en el Levante Almeriense, siglos XIX-XXI

Abstract

En las últimas décadas la conquista del litoral se ha materializado en un muro habitado de espesor variable que reserva el privilegio de la mirada a unos pocos en una dirección de sentido único, generando traseras contiguas desprovistas de horizonte e interés. Tras el frente marítimo se consolidan cuencas invisibles a la población que son susceptibles de ser transformadas por nuevos modelos residenciales, arquetipos de futuros no lugares, ya planificados como inminentes. La presente investigación amplía el estudio del litoral a su paisaje interior y se concreta en el Levante de Almería, escenario representativo de cierta problemática común al litoral mediterráneo, cuya aridez lo hace especialmente vulnerable a la erosión y al olvido. El objetivo de la propuesta será ofrecer una forma alternativa e intuitiva de aproximación y de sensibilización con este tipo de paisajes ocultos a partir del estudio de este ámbito específico. In the last decades, the conquest of the coastline has been materialized in an inhabited wall of variable thickness that preserves the privilege of gazing to a few in a one-way direction, generating the view of contiguous rear devoid of horizon and interest. Behind the seafront, basins invisible to the population are consolidated that are susceptible to being transformed by new residential models, archetypes of future non-sites, already planned as imminent. The present research extends the study of the coastline to its interior landscape and is specified in Levante Almeriense, a representative scenario of certain problems common to the Mediterranean coast, whose aridity makes it especially vulnerable to erosion and oblivion. The aim of the proposal will be to offer an alternative and intuitive way of approaching and raising awareness with this type of hidden landscapes based on the study of this specific area.
