El Patrimonio Cultural del Valle de Ricote (Murcia) y la cartografía del Genius Loci. Bases teóricas y metodológicas para la elaboración de un mapa cultural a partir de acciones de participación social

Abstract

El Valle de Ricote constituye uno de los espacios culturales más significativos y bellos de Murcia, con relevantes testimonios históricos que abarcan todas las épocas. El agua y sus usos históricos son el principal elemento vertebrador, con una fuerte impronta de época medieval presente hoy en sus sistemas tradicionales de regadío, en su urbanismo o en los restos arqueológicos de sus fortificaciones y asentamientos. Esta ponencia aborda el nuevo paradigma promovido por UNESCO y otros organismos internacionales en la comprensión y gestión del paisaje, para a partir de este avanzar las líneas clave de un proyecto para la para la elaboración del Mapa Cultural Digital de los municipios del Valle de Ricote.

The Ricote Valley constitutes one of the most significant and beautiful cultural spaces in Murcia, with relevant historical testimonies that span all periods. Water and its historical uses are the main backbone, with a strong medieval stamp present today in its traditional irrigation systems, in its urban planning or in the archaeological remains of its fortifications and settlements. This presentation addresses the new paradigm promoted by UNESCO and other international organizations in the understanding and management of the landscape and shows the key lines of a project launched for the preparation of the Digital Cultural Map of the municipalities of the Valley of Ricote.
