Aspectos psicosomáticos de la patobiografía de Alfonso X

Abstract

En este trabajo se consideran los aspectos psicosomáticos de la patobiografía de Alfonso X “El Sabio” (1221-1284). Un gran personaje, que a lo largo de su existencia, aparte de sus hechos de armas y controvertida actuación política, ha pasado a la posteridad, sobre todo por sus extraordinarias aportaciones culturales. Precisamente, serán esos aspectos psicosomáticos, esa imbricación íntima y recíproca, de lo somático y lo psíquico, integrados en la personalidad del monarca los que, como muestra la patobiografía del mismo, se verán alterados por los diversos hechos que le ocurrieron y las vivencias que sin duda experimentaría, junto a la indudable influencia de las variadas patologías, algunas muy severas, que le afectaron. Circunstancias éstas que tendrán, sin duda alguna, relevancia en su comportamiento y muy posiblemente en la toma de decisiones, que en muchas ocasiones, por su dureza, se apartaron del carácter, humanista y ciertamente tolerante, que el monarca por lo general mostraba junto a su extraordinaria fe, como se refleja en “Las Cantigas de Santa María”, para con la Santísima Virgen.

At this article has been considered Alfonso X ‘the Wise’ (1221-1284) psychosomatics and pathobiography aspects. A great historic figure, who throughout his existence, apart from his deeds of arms and controversial political performance, has passed to posterity, especially for his extraordinary cultural contributions. Precisely, it will be those psychosomatic aspects, that intimate and reciprocal imbrication, of the somatic and the psychic, integrated into the personality of the monarch that, as the pathobiography shows, will be modified by the various events that happened to him and the experiences that he would undoubtedly experience, together with the influence of the various pathologies, some very severe, which affected him. Circumstances that will have, without a doubt, relevance in their behavior and very possibly in decision-making, which on many occasions, due to their hardness, departs from the humanistic and certainly tolerant character, that the monarch usually showed along with his extraordinary faith, as reflected in “Canticles of Holy Mary”, to the Blessed Virgin.
