Curación de información con marca de autor: análisis de newsletters independientes

Abstract

Se presenta el primer estudio académico existente en la literatura sobre la curación de contenidos realizada por newsletters independientes que no pertenecen a un medio de comunicación o a una empresa. Se ha seleccionado una muestra de análisis de diez boletines independientes españoles, a partir de la consulta a 15 expertos. El análisis se ha realizado empleando una doble metodología: por una parte un estudio evaluativo de la calidad de la curación de los boletines, siguiendo el sistema CAS, Curation Analysis System (Guallar et al., 2021b) que se basa en una serie de parámetros e indicadores agrupados bajo las dimensiones Contenido y Curación, y por otra, un cuestionario enviado a los editores, con una tasa de respuesta del 100%. Se discuten los resultados con la literatura anterior y se presentan una serie de conclusiones, destacando la identificación de las características del boletín independiente tipo en España: entre otras, es un boletín gratuito, tiene firma de autor, presenta en torno a 30 contenidos curados, tiene periodicidad semanal y especialización temática, cura contenidos de los últimos días con la técnica de Resumir, los contenidos proceden de páginas web y medios de comunicación y usa sus enlaces para Describir el contenido.

The first existing academic study in the literature on content curation carried out by independent newsletters that do not belong to a media outlet or a company is presented. An analysis sample of ten Spanish independent newsletters has been selected, based on the consultation of 15 experts. The analysis has been carried out using a double methodology: on the one hand, an evaluative study of the quality of the curation of the newsletters, following the CAS system, Curation Analysis System (Guallar et al., 2021b) that is based on a series of parameters and indicators grouped under the Content and Curation dimensions, and on the other, a questionnaire sent to editors, with a 100% response rate. The results are discussed with the previous literature and a series of conclusions are presented, highlighting the identification of the characteristics of the typical independent newsletter in Spain: among others, it is a free newsletter, it has an author signature, it presents around 30 curated contents, It has a weekly periodicity and thematic specialization, it curates contents from the last few days with the Summarize technique, the contents come from web pages and the media and it uses their links to Describe the content.
