Indígenas y educación. La punta de un iceberg

Abstract

Este artículo presenta un resumen sucinto de la historia pasada y reciente del lugar de las lenguas autóctonas en la educación para las poblaciones indígenas de América Latina (Alrededor del aula). Expone tentativas de formación de maestros (Hacia el aula). E incluye una actitud didáctica ligada al logro de una educación intercultural y bilingüe, que enfatiza el escuchar a los alumnos y la reconsideración de la idea de error al corregirlos en clase (En el aula).

This article presents a succinct summary of the past and recent history of the place that autochthonous languages takes in the education of indigenous populations in Latin America (around the classroom). It explores some tentative propositions of teacher formation (toward the classroom). And it includes a didactic attitude with respect to the achievement of an intercultural and bilingual education that emphasizes listening to the students and reconsidering the idea of error when correcting them in the lessson (in the classroom).
