Participación Política y Educación de las Mujeres durante la Dictadura de Primo de Rivera: las Asambleístas

Abstract

El objetivo del artículo es dar a conocer las aportaciones de las primeras mujeres que ocuparon un escaño en el Congreso español, durante la Dictadura de Primo de Rivera. La metodología aplicada ha sido la histórico-educativa, y para ello hemos revisado la bibliografía existente y, fundamentalmente, hemos consultado fuentes primarias como son las actas de los diarios de las sesiones de la Asamblea Nacional. A través de la primera nos acercamos a la participación política que tuvieron las mujeres durante ese periodo y a sus ideas sobre la educación femenina. A partir de la revisión de las actas hemos analizado las intervenciones de las asambleístas, de las que hemos establecido tres grandes núcleos que conforman los temas que consideraban prioritarios: feminismo y derechos de la mujer; educación, enseñanza y valores; y beneficencia y protección a la infancia y a la mujer. Como conclusión esencial, hay que destacar que la actividad política de estas mujeres supuso una modificación de su exclusión de un terreno que había sido definido en masculino, el de la política, que sentó las bases para una movilización femenina por la ciudadanía política que se intensificó durante la Segunda República.

The objective of the article is to publicize the contributions of the first women who occupied a seat in the Spanish Congress, during the Dictatorship of Primo de Rivera. The methodology appliedhas been the educational history, carrying out a review of the existing bibliography and, fundamentally, the use of primary sources such as the minutes of the newspapers of the sessions of the National Assembly. Through the first we approach the political participation that women had during that period, and their ideas about female education. From the review of the minutes, we have analyzed the interventions of the assemblywomen, of which we have established three main nuclei that make up the issues that they considered priorities: Feminism and women's rights, Education, teaching and values, and Charity and Protection of children and women. As a fundamental conclusion, it should be noted that the political activity of these women meant a modification of their exclusion from a terrain that had been defined in masculine, that of politics, which laid the foundations for a female mobilization for political citizenship that intensified during the second republic.
