dc.description.abstract	El presente trabajo intenta mostrar un enfoque de la cultura popular urbana venezolana, específicamente en lo que al tiempo extraordinario se refiere, y que es ofrecido por los actores sociales de un barrio mirandino. Consiste en un abordaje etnográfico pre-festividad y otro in situ de la festividad del Maíz, elemento innovador en la historia de dicho barrio. Se trata, entonces de mostrar una parte esencial en el devenir cultural de este tipo de comunidad.	en
dc.description.abstract	This article presents a perspective on popular venezuelan urban culture, specifically regarding what is referred to as extraordinary time, and what is offered by the people of a Mirandino suburb. It consists in a ethnographic view of the pre-festival, and another in-situ of The Corn Festival, an innovation in the history of said suburb. Finally, the article outlines an essential part of the cultural developement of this type of community.	en
