Los dichos arameos de Hillel en el tratado Abot

Abstract

In this paper I study the Aramaic sayings attributed to Hillel in tractate Abot. Their language, their textual transmission, and above all the fact that they left nearly no imprint in rabbinic literature, suggest that they were originally popular proverbs that only later were charged with a religious meaning and attributed to Hillel. They certainly do not belong to the older layers of the tractate.

En este estudio analizo los dichos arameos del tratado Abot atribuidos a Hillel. Su lengua, su transmisión textual y, sobre todo, que se encuentren pocas huellas en la literatura rabínica sugieren que son dichos populares que sólo más tarde fueron interpretados en un sentido religioso y atribuidos a Hillel. No pertenecen, por tanto, al núcleo más antiguo de Abot.
