Hannah Szenes (1921-1944): Heroína y poetisa

Abstract

El artículo traza el perfil de Hannah Szenes en los dos aspectos que la han hecho famosa: como heroína de la resistencia durante la II Guerra Mundial, convertida en símbolo de entrega y sacrificio; y como poetisa, de obra escasa, pero reconocida por su valor testimonial y su aceptación popular. Se presenta la traducción castellana de las diecinueve poesías escritas en hebreo, más una originalmente en húngaro (se traduce la versión hebrea de Avigdor Hameiri).

The article provides us with a description of Hannah Szenes, emphasizing the two aspects of her life which have made her famous: as a heroine of the Resistance in the Second World War who has become a symbol of devotion to and sacrifice; and as a poet who wrote very little but is recognised for the value of her testimony and her popularity. Here we have the Spanish translation of the 19 poems originally written in Hebrew and also one originally in Hungarian (the translation is from the Hebrew version of Avigdor Hameiri).
