Movimiento cocalero en Bolivia. Violencia, discurso y hegemonía

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la construcción de un sujeto hegemónico a partir del discurso de los dirigentes de las Cinco Federaciones del Trópico de Cochabamba, en el Chapare boliviano. La intención es realizar un acercamiento a los elementos del discurso que han permitido el potenciamiento de este actor. Para ello en una primera parte de este trabajo veremos las líneas teóricas que guiarán la interpretación de la información obtenida en el terreno, cuyo eje central es el concepto de hegemonía de Laclau, así como también los principales elementos contextualizadores, claves para la posterior comprensión de este estudio. Posteriormente se dará cuenta de los ejes del discurso de los dirigentes cocaleros, obtenidos a través del análisis estructural de éstos, con el fin de establecer un puente entre los elementos del discurso y la construcción de un sujeto hegemónico en Bolivia, para lo cual se realiza un análisis que intenta leer los resultados desde las líneas teóricas planteadas en un inicio.

The aim of this work is to analyse how the subject that is hegemonic in the discourse of the leaders of the Five Confederacies of the Tropic of Cochabamba, in the Bolivian Chapare, is constructed. The intention is to search out the elements of the discourse that have permitted the growth of the power of this actor. In the first part, This work regards the theoretical lines that will guide the interpretation of the information compiled in the field (the central axis of them is the concept of hegemony of Laclau), as well as the main elements of contextualization, the key for the subsequent comprehension of this study. Then we deal with the discourse axes of the coca leaders, derived from their structural analysis. Finally, in order to establish a bridge between the elements of the discourse and to construct a hegemonic subject in Bolivia, an analysis is made to interpret the results from the theoretical lines presented at the beginning.
