Literatura, sociedad y saber: conversación con Antonio Chicharro

Abstract

En la siguiente entrevista Antonio Chicharro Chamorro reflexiona acerca de la prevalencia de la Sociología de la literatura en la actualidad de los Estudios Literarios, al tiempo que repasa su carrera académica y el desarrollo de su actividad crítica en torno al establecimiento institucional de la disciplina. En la conversación con Antonio Alías revisa algunos de sus trabajos más importantes donde, a propósito de su interés por la poesía y la Teoría de la literatura, se comprende la compleja dialéctica entre literatura y sociedad. Precisamente, a través de esta inextinguible relación el profesor Chicharro Chamorro piensa la literatura, su fundamentación epistemológica como objeto de estudio y, en la propia constitución del conocimiento teórico sobre ella, el replanteamiento de enfoques, métodos y lecturas críticas que también ha significado el devenir de la sociología como matriz teórica de la literatura. Un debate crítico que continúa, más allá de la profesión académica, en la pasión lectora del entrevistado.

In this interview, Antonio Chicharro Chamorro reflects on the actual thrive of Sociology of Literature in Literary Studies while he looks over his academic career as well as over the development of his criticism activity around the institutional establi-shment of the subject. In his conversation with Antonio Alías, he goes through some of his most important works where, regarding his interest on poetry and on Theory of Literature, the complex dialectics between literature and society is better understood. As a matter of fact, it is through this inextinguishable relationship that Prof. Chicharro Chamorro thinks literature, and its epistemological grounds as object of study. In the building of theoretical knowledge of literature, he rethinks approaches, methods and critical readings that signify the evolution of sociology as theoretical matrix of literature.
