La literatura latinoamericana escrita por mujeres hoy: aproximación a su recepción y notas preliminares a un fenómeno incipiente. El caso de Colombia

Abstract

En la década de los sesenta, Latinoamérica se situó con fuerza en el panorama literario mundial con la irrupción del boom, liderado fundamentalmente por cinco centros nacionales: Colombia, Perú, México, Argentina y Chile. Cincuenta años después, el mercado y la crítica hablan de un nuevo boom de la literatura latinoamericana, esta vez, protagonizado por mujeres nacidas, mayoritariamente, en Argentina, México, Perú y Chile. Sin embargo, en esta ocasión Colombia se descuelga del elenco y su papel es muy marginal. ¿Cuáles son las razones que excluyen, esta vez, a la literatura colombiana? A través de este marco de enunciación y mediante una aproximación a la recepción, atenderemos a la nueva producción de literatura escrita por jóvenes escritoras de América Latina, con el objetivo de trazar una panorámica general de lo que se viene denominando como un “Nuevo boom” de la narrativa femenina en el continente, llevando a cabo, sobre todo, una lectura de la legitimidad que las jóvenes escritoras de la región (nacidas entre 1970 y 1985) han obtenido tanto por el mercado como por la academia.

In the 1960s, Latin America firmly positioned itself on the world literary scene with the emergence of the boom, mainly led by five national centers: Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Argentina, and Chile. Fifty years later, the market and critics speak of a new boom in Latin American literature, this time starring women born in Argentina, Mexico, Peru, and Chile. On this occasion, Colombia falls off the cast and its role is very marginal. What are the reasons that exclude Colombian literature this time? Through this enunciation framework and using and approach to reception, we will attend to the new production of literature written by young Latin American women writers. The goal is to draw a general overview of what has been called a “New boom” of female narrative on the continent, carrying out, above all, a reading of the legitimacy that young writers in the region (born between 1970 and 1990) have obtained both through the market and through the academy.
