La técnica de la piedra seca en Andalucía como patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la humanidad. Fundamentos, formularios, compromisos y participación

Abstract

La inclusión de la técnica de la piedra seca por parte de la Unesco en la Lista Representativa del Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad, en el año 2018, fue el final de un proceso iniciado años atrás por diferentes países del ámbito europeo, en el que participaron también algunas administraciones autonómicas del Estado español. Este significativo reconocimiento no es, sin embargo, un proceso cerrado, sino más bien un aliciente para el desarrollo de propuestas que tengan como objetivo principal la salvaguarda de las técnicas de la piedra seca y los valores inherentes a esta forma de construcción. La gestión y puesta en marcha de estas iniciativas, así como el análisis del proceso de formulación de la Candidatura Unesco y su vinculación con el territorio andaluz, son algunos de los aspectos que se tratan en este artículo.

The inclusion of the dry stone technique by Unesco in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, in 2018, was the end of a process initiated years ago by different European countries, in which Some autonomous administrations of the Spanish State also participated. This significant recognition is not, however, a closed process, but rather an incentive for the development of proposals whose main objective is the safeguarding of dry stone techniques and the values inherent in this form of construction. The management and implementation of these initiatives, as well as the analysis of the formulation process of the Unesco Candidacy and its link with the Andalusian territory, are some of the aspects that are dealt with in this article.
