Análisis del fenómeno Los MENA en la ciudad fronteriza y multicultural de Ceuta. Elementos para la integración social y educativa

Abstract

La presencia de menores extranjeros no acompañados (MENA) en la ciudad fronteriza y multicultural de Ceuta es una realidad problemática para la cual aún no existe solución. Los proyectos migratorios, número y perfiles de los menores son variados así como las respuestas sociales y educativas que se ofrecen. Sin embargo, los intentos de atender al colectivo no resultan exitosos y en la sociedad se detectan ciertos brotes de racismo. Ante esta situación, se realiza un estudio multimétodo que persigue conocer y analizar la realidad de los MENA en la ciudad, desgranando diversos factores que inciden en su integración social y educativa. Se utiliza un cuestionario y entrevistas para recoger la opinión de jóvenes y profesionales que atienden a este colectivo.

The presence of unaccompanied foreign minors (MENA) in the border and multicultural city of Ceuta is a problematic reality for which there is still no solution. The migratory projects, number and profiles of the children are varied as well as the social and educational responses that are offered. However, the attempts to serve the group are not successful and in society certain outbreaks of racism are detected. Given this situation, a multimethod study is carried out that seeks to know and analyze the reality of the MENA in the city, revealing various factors that affect its social and educational integration. A questionnaire and interviews are used to gather the opinion of young people and professionals who serve this group.
