El eco de la risa de Dios. El concepto de novela según Milan Kundera y Mario Vargas Llosa

Abstract

El artículo se centra en la importancia que le dan al género novelístico el peruano Mario Vargas Llosa y el checo Milan Kundera. Ambos se basan en la herencia cervantina del Quijote para proclamar la importancia de la libertad para la novela como reflejo del valor de la libertad para el hombre en la cultura occidental. Asimismo se mencionan otros elementos claves como el humor o la relación con la historia.

This article is focused on the importance that the genre of novel has got for the Peruvian Mario Vargas Llosa and the Czech Milan Kundera. Both writers consider as the basis the Cervantean heritage in the Quijote, in particular the subject od freedom: the freedom of novel reflects the value of freedom of the human being in the Western culture. We also mention other key elements as the humour or the relation with the History.
