Siria y Palestina según Ibn Battuta, siglo XIV

Abstract

En este trabajo ofrecemos noticias sacadas de la obra de Ibn Battuta cuando visitó Siria y Palestina. Nos informa de las costumbres de aquellas poblaciones, ofrece noticias sobre cada una de las ciudades, aldeas y castillos. Se refiere a las mezquitas, lugares de culto, santuarios, bienes de fundaciones piadosas, agricultura, productos, comidas, grupos religiosos, funerales, noticias de la historia sagrada de personajes como Abraham y sus descendientes. Llama la atención sobre las construcciones que le interesaron y escribió sobre ellas.

In this work we offer news taken from the work of Ibn Battuta when he visited Syria and Palestine. Informs us of the customs of those populations, it provides news on each of the cities, villages and castles. Refers to the mosques, places of worship, shrines, goods of pious foundations, agriculture, products, food, religious groups, funeral, news of the sacred history of characters such as Abraham and his descendants.
