Patrimonio Ibero Americano en matemáticas y en educación matemática. Un resumen en 40 apuntes

Abstract

Este documento presenta una selección estructurada de datos y acontecimientos, ocurridos en Iberoamérica a lo largo del tiempo, sobre matemáticas y educación matemática. Describe con enfoque diacrónico la presencia y difusión de los saberes matemáticos y educativos en Iberoamérica desde el siglo XV hasta nuestros días, ejemplificados por una antología de ideas y conocimientos pensados, expresados y difundidos en español. El trabajo, que se ha llevado a cabo mediante la colaboración de un amplio grupo de expertos en historia de la ciencia, profesores e investigadores en matemáticas y en educación matemática, de distintas instituciones y países iberoamericanos; su elección no tiene pretensiones de exhaustividad. El patrimonio que se muestra singulariza una constante histórica. de esos pueblos y naciones, y ejemplifica su desarrollo científico mediante su evolución temporal. La acción de sus protagonistas se presenta en un marco histórico comprensivo y estructurado, que interpreta, identifica y describe la actividad matemática y educativa acaecidas, ejemplifica algunos estudios y producciones resultantes, revela materiales elaborados, muestra revistas científicas y de divulgación editadas, evoca congresos y simposios realizados, comisiones promovidas y participadas, manuales y libros redactados.

This document presents a selection of data and events that have taken place in Ibero American countries on mathematics and mathematics education. Using a diachronic approach, we describe the presence and diffusion of mathematical and educational knowledge in the history of science from the fifteenth century to the present day, exemplified by a selection of ideas, knowledge and thought expressed and disseminated in Spanish. The work has been carried out with the collaboration of a large group of professors and researchers in mathematics and mathematics education from different Ibero American countries and communities. The Ibero-American heritage shown here underlines a historical constant of these countries, exemplified by its scientific development over the course of time. The action of its protagonists is presented in a comprehensive and structured historical framework, which helps to interpret, identify and describe the scientific and educational activity that that has taken place. This includes studies and academic production; materials that have been elaborated; the editing and circulation of scientific journals; congresses and symposiums that have been held; commissions that have been constituted; and the publication of books and other texts.
