Del modernismo al postmodernismo: poesía transatlántica y biopolítica del ideal

Abstract

¿Cómo leer la poesía pura desde la biopolítica? El presente artículo afronta esa pregunta atendiendo, en primer lugar, a las implicaciones de dos ramas de la moral estética: aquella que separa al arte de la vida y aquella que los une. Partiendo de ahí, analiza de qué manera esta ideología expulsó del territorio de la poesía eso que Agamben denomina “zoé”, o simple vida natural, emprendiendo un acto fundacional de sí misma mediante dicha expulsión. En este recorrido se estudiará brevemente la constitución de una biopolítica afirmativa en César Vallejo, para concluir con la rearticulación de algunas de estas problemáticas en la poesía de Pere Gimferrer.

How can we read the pure poetry from biopolitics? This essay addresses that question by focusing, in the first place, on the implications of two divisions of the aesthetic morality: that which separates art from life and that which unites them. Starting from there, we will analyze in what way this ideology expelled from the territory of poetry what Agamben calls “zoé”, or simple natural life, undertaking a foundational act of itself through said expulsion. In this itinerary, we will briefly study the constitution of an affirmative biopolitics in César Vallejo, to conclude with the rearticulation of some of these problems in Pere Gimferrer’s poetry.
