La Alhambra como lugar paradisíaco en el imaginario árabe

Abstract

En este artículo se analizan los textos árabes y la semántica concreta con que lo edénico entra a formar parte de la construcción simbólica y física del monumento, incardinándose en el imaginario árabe clásico y convirtiéndose, además, en paradigma del paraíso perdido en la cultura literaria y artística árabe actual. Para evidenciarlo, el autor analiza los textos coránicos y poéticos epigráficos y cortesanos (de Ibn al-Ŷayyāb, Ibn al-Jaṭīb, Ibn Zamrak, al-Rundī y otros autores clásicos andalusíes), así como algunas obras significativas de la plástica árabe contemporánea, producidos por artistas como los egipcios Muḥammad ‘Abd al-Qādir, Muḥammad Sa‘īd y Muḥammad Ṣabrī, el iraquí Ḥasan Šakir Āl Sa‘īd o el palestino Kamāl Bullāṭa.

This article analyzes the Arabic texts and the specific semantics with which the edenic starts to become part of the symbolic and physical construction of the monument, embodying itself into the classical Arab imagery and becoming, furthermore, a paradigm of the lost paradise within literary culture and art of the contemporary Arab world. Bearing this in mind, the author analyzes Quranic, epigraphic and poetic texts from the court (from Ibn al-Ŷayyāb, Ibn al-Jaṭīb, Ibn Zamrak, al-Rundī and other classical Andalusian authors) as well as some significant works of contemporary Arab art produced by artists such as the Egyptians Muḥammad ‘Abd al-Qādir, Muḥammad Sa‘īd and Muḥammad Ṣabrī, the Iraqi Ḥasan Šakir Āl Sa‘īd or the Palestinian Kamāl Bullāṭa
