La perfilación criminal es una técnica de investigación del delito que se sirve de los conocimientos de la psicología para elaborar un perfil psicológico del presunto agresor con el objetivo de esclarecer los delitos. La metodología que emplea dicha técnica es muy variada, dando lugar a diversos modelos de aplicación. Con la presente revisión se pretendió identificar cuál es la situación de esta técnica en el contexto español, mediante una búsqueda sistemática en distintas bases de datos sobre los modelos que se aplican o se han aplicado en España y sus respectivas metodologías. Los resultados de esta búsqueda mostraron un total de cinco modelos o aplicaciones de la técnica, tres de ellos desarrollados por perfiladores españoles. Se observa además una tendencia al uso de la metodología inductiva y, por otro lado, una profesionalización de la técnica de la perfilación criminal en el contexto de las Fuerzas y Cuerpos de Seguridad del Estado español. Criminal profiling is a crime investigation technique that uses psychology’s knowledge to elaborate a psychological profile of the alleged aggressor with the objective of clarifying crimes. The methodology used by this technique is varied, leading to several application models. The aim of the present review is to identify the situation of this technique in the spanish context, through a systematic search in different databases about the models that are applied or have been applied in Spain and their respective methodologies. The results of this search showed a total of five models or applications of the technique, three of them developed by spanish profilers. Furthermore, it was observed a tendency to the use of inductive methodology and, on the other hand, a professionaliation of the criminal profiling technique in the context of the Security Forces of the Spanish State.
