Litiasis ureteral bilateral obstructiva. La importancia de la ecografía ambulatoria

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta el caso de un paciente con insuficiencia renal crónica, que refiere oligoanuria de 48 horas de evolución además de un cuadro gastrointestinal concomitante. La ecografía muestra una uropatía obstructiva bilateral, sin objetivarse la causa. Posteriormente, el TAC pone de manifiesto dos litiasis bilaterales causantes de la obstrucción, que precisa la colocación urgente de un catéter en doble J. La ecografía ambulatoria hubiese permitido ahorrar tiempo en el diagnóstico, evaluando la vía renal de forma rápida, beneficiándose el paciente de un tratamiento precoz.

In this work we present the case of a patient with chronic renal failure, who presented oligoanuria of 48 hours of evolution in addition to a concomitant gastrointestinal symptoms. The ultrasound shows us a bilateral obstructive uropathy, without the cause being objectified. Subsequently, the CT shows two bilateral stones that cause the obstruction, which requires the urgent placement of a double-J catheter. The ambulatory ultrasound would have allowed us to save time in the diagnosis, evaluating the renal path quickly, benefiting the patient from an early treatment.
