Autoficción, autobiografía y recepción en Missing (una investigación) (2009) de Alberto Fuguet

Abstract

La novela Missing : una investigación (2009), marcó un hito en la carrera del escritor chileno Alberto Fuguet y le hizo ganar una aceptación y reconocimiento considerables por parte de la crítica. El libro ha sido también incluido dentro de las novelas de autoficción. Este trabajo pretende estudiar si es legítimo considerar Missing una autoficción y cuál sería su lugar dentro de la literatura del Yo. Definiciones y consideraciones de Doubrovsky, Lejeune Alberca y otros son utilizadas en con este fin. El artículo también analiza las relaciones intertextuales de la novela con otras anteriores del mismo autor. Finalmente se intenta explicar laz razones de la favorable acogida hacia esta obra, para lo cual se sustenta en la teoría de la recepción de Jauss.

The novel Missing : una investigación (2009), marked a milestone in Chilean writer Alberto Fuguet's career and helped him attain both broad recognition and acceptance by the critics. The book has been categorised as autofiction. This paper aims to study whether Missing can be properly considered a work ofautofiction, and what would be its place within the literature of the self. The definitions and ideas of Doubrovsky, Lejeune, Alberca and other authors has been used for this purpose. Moreover, the article examines the intertextual connections of the novel with others by the same author. Finally, basing on Jauss' reception theory, the paper attemps to explain the reasons for the novel's favourable reception.
