Questão Social e Serciço Social: Desafíos contemporȃneos à profissão no Brasil

Abstract

O presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar uma leitura sobre a intrínseca relação entre a questão social e o Serviço Social. A análise sobre a questão social parte da leitura atenta e rigorosa da teoria do Valor Trabalho e da Crítica da Economia Política apresenta por Karl Marx. É a partir dessa análise que se pretende justificar a gênese da profissão vinculada ao papel do Estado e da burguesia na consolidação do capitalismo monopolista. Parte-se da análise do Serviço Social como uma profissão inserida na divisão social e técnica do trabalho, que por sua ação, no movimento contraditório da realidade capitalista, defende interesses do capital e do trabalho. Assim como o artigo apresenta, de maneira sucinta a trajetória do Serviço Social no Brasil, seu projeto ético e político vinculada à classe trabalhadora e os desafios para a garantia dessa direção em tempos de desmonte das políticas sociais e capitalismo financeiro.

This article offers an analysis of the intrinsic relationship between the social question and Social Work. The analysis of the social question starts from the meticulous and rigorous reading of the labor theory of value and the Critique of Political Economy written by Karl Marx. It is from this analysis that we try to justify the genesis of the profession linked to the role of the state and the bourgeoisie in the consolidation of monopoly capitalism. It starts from the analysis of Social Work as a profession inserted in the social and technical division of labor that by its own action, in the contradictory movement of the capitalist reality, defends the interests of capital and labor. In addition, the article presents, in a succinct way, the trajectory of Social Work in Brazil and its ethical and political project in relation to the working class challenges to guarantee this direction in times of dismantling social policies and financial capitalism.
