Abstract
Granada, an area classified as maximum risk according to the National Geographic Institute -IGN- and
recognized so in the NCSE-02, is a susceptible city of analysis within an emergency plan in accordance with
the Basic Regulation of Civil Protection. The particular morphological and patrimonial characteristics of the
urban center of this city, lead to an urgent reflection on the forecast of a probable stage of damage. Having
analyzed the following natural ways of evacuation in the case of an earthquake disaster, the Gran Vía de
Colón de Granada, is an urban axis of special relevance in the set of measures to be considered in a more than
necessary, as you can check, Emergency Plan of the city.
This study aims to disclose the results that show the initial approach on a probable damage stage of this
Avenue, having used the methodology on which the Risk-EU Project is based.
