Experiencias turísticas indígenas en la región de Madre de Dios (Perú)

Abstract

El turismo realizado por poblaciones indígenas en la región amazónica de Madre de Dios (Perú) ha atravesado por numerosas dificultades. En este artículo nos interesa aproximarnos a esas experiencias y analizar las razones de los numerosos fracasos de este tipo de turismo y la evolución actual de las formas de organización del producto turístico.

Tourism initiatives organized by indigenous groups in the Amazonian region of Madre de Dios (Perú) have gone through a number of important challenges and difficulties. In this paper we examine these challenges and the recent evolution of this kind of tourist product and analyse the reasons why such initiatives of indigenous tourism tend to fail.
