El origen de las organizaciones religiosas y el poder político en Sudán

Abstract

En este artículo se presentan las principales organizaciones religiosas sudanesas que han determinado la génesis de algunos de los partidos y organizaciones políticas fundamentales del país. El carácter y la evolución de dichos grupos ha sido muy diversa y su importancia y arraigo en la sociedad sudanesa ha sido igualmente heterogénea, por lo que muchas de ellas se constituyen como bases esenciales del devenir social, cultural y religioso de Sudán, mientras que otras han pasado por la historia sudanesa de manera casi anecdótica. Este texto muestra, por tanto, el origen de la gran riqueza de la religiosidad sudanesa que se ha manifestado en las variadas formas organizativas desarrolladas en el país, tanto en el norte como en el sur hasta 2011.

Presents the main Sudanese religious organizations which have influenced some of the fundamental political parties and political organizations in the country. Their characteristics and their evolution are diverse, as well as their importance and support within the Sudanese society. Some of them are basic for the social, cultural and religious transformation of the country whereas others just passed by. This text shows the origins of the rich diversity of the Sudanese religiosity that has crystallized in different types of organizations either in the north or in the south until 2011.
