La figura del mesías según los historiadores judeo-helenísticos Filón de Alejandría y Flavio Josefo

Abstract

En este artículo analizamos la figura del mesías según los historiadores judeo-helenísticos Filón de Alejandría y Flavio Josefo. El primero presenta a un mesías escatológico que participa de los conceptos filosóficos helenísticos. En cambio, en la obra de Josefo se distinguen varios tipos, que tienen en común su naturaleza humana y su influencia en los acontecimientos históricos.

In this paper the author analyses the image of the Messiah as depicted by the Jewish-Hellenistic historians Philo of Alexandria and Flavius Josephus. Philo's image is basically of an eschatological nature clearly sharing Hellenistic philosophical concepts. In the works of Josephus, however, several types can be distinguished, having all in common the human nature of the Messiah and his influence on historical events.
