Percepción de la interculturalidad por los alumnos universitarios: análisis conceptual y terminológico

Abstract

Dada la gran proliferación terminológica relacionada con la diversidad cultural, hace casi imprescindible pararse a reflexionar sobre el significado y el alcance de muchos de los términos que utilizamos, reclamándose la necesidad de llevar a cabo estudios de este tipo, donde se destaque su importancia para la investigación y la formación en aspectos relacionados con la diversidad cultural. El presente estudio investiga las respuestas que los grupos de universitarios realizan tratando de relacionar cada uno de los términos presentados con la diversidad cultural, el interés que los conceptos y las ideas implicados en cada término tenían para ellos, junto con la interacción entre los mismos y la propuesta de nuevos términos y conceptos que consideren que no estaban presentes en el listado original y que deberían figurar en él. Los resultados encontrados permiten avanzar en el conocimiento de cuáles son algunas de las conexiones conceptuales y terminológicas de la población investigada y en algunas propuestas para la mejora de la percepción y el conocimiento que los estudiantes universitarios tengan de la diversidad cultural, así como el manejo de conceptos y el uso de la terminología adecuada de estos contextos multiculturales

Given the great terminological proliferation related with the cultural diversity, makes almost indispensable to stop to medítate on the meaning and the reach of many of the terms that we use, being claimed the necessity to carry out studies of this type, where he/she stands out its importance for the investigation and the formation in aspects related with the cultural diversity.

The present study investigates the answers that the groups of university students carry out, trying to relate each one of the terms presented with the cultural diversity, the interest that the concepts and the ideas implied in each term had for them, together with the interaction among the same ones and the proposal of new terms and concepts that consider that they were not present in the original listing and that they should figure in him. The opposing results allow to advance in the knowledge of which some of the investigated population's conceptual and terminological connections they are, and in some proposals for the improvement of the perception and the knowledge that the university students have of the cultural diversity, as well as the handling of concepts and the use of the appropriate terminology of these multicultural contexts.
