Abstract

Se ha dicho que WWW es "the killer application", y no sin razón, pues su existencia puede hacer innecesario el uso de otras herramientas tradicionalmente empleadas para acceder a la Red. La popularidad de WWW, y, sobre todo, la capacidad "omnicomprensiva" de la aplicación Mosaic, está permitiendo que muchos usuarios, usando un solo software, puedan explotar prácticamente todos los recursos de Internet.

It has been said that WWW is "the killer application", and not without reason, since their existence may obviate the use of other tools traditionally used to access the Web. The popularity of WWW, and, above all, the ability to "catch-all" Mosaic application is enabling many users, using a single software, to exploit virtually all Internet resources.
