Abstract

El principal valor del autorretrato estriba en aportar una imagen auténtica y fidedigna del artista. La obra adquiere así un inapreciable valor documental al revelar los rasgos físicos que construyen la personalidad del creador. La inmediatez, y por tanto su espontaneidad, constituye otro de sus rasgos, al ser producto de una rápida -que no apresurada- elaboración.
