Arquitectura sustractiva

Abstract

Los 12 artículos que recoge este libro nos ofrecen diferentes interpretaciones del concepto: “Arquitectura Sustractiva”, o “arquitectura que resta”, como también podríamos denominarla. La intensa investigación realizada por los autores que firman los artículos, arquitectos que compaginan su labor profesional con la docencia, conforman una amalgama de interpretaciones que nos adentra de manera incisiva y contundente en la arquitectura sustractiva. En conjunto aportan una interesante visión crítica en la que se aborda desde su interpretación física y matérica, que nos retrotrae a la acción de quitar masa, o vacío, a un cuerpo, despojarle de su materia, o su aire; hasta una interpretación más allá de sus cualidades sensibles, casi metafísica, que nos remite al propio proceso de la creación arquitectónica. Una reflexión profunda y diversa que indaga en la búsqueda de valores materiales, espaciales, tecnológicos, simbólicos, e incluso bioclimáticos. The 12 articles which includes this book, offer us different interpretations of the concept: "Subtractive Architecture". The intense research by the authors, architects who combine their professional work with teaching, give us different interpretations that lead us so incisive and forceful in “Subtractive architecture”. Together provide an interesting critical view which is approached from its physical interpretation –material -, which takes us back to the action of removing mass, or vacuum, to a body, stripped of its matter or air, to an interpretation beyond of its sensible qualities, almost metaphysical, which refers to the process of architectural creation.
