El turat y las formas literarias en la producción de Tawfiq al-Hakim

Abstract

Una constante del mundo árabe contemporáneo es la búsqueda de identidad, que en el terreno literario se manifiesta a través de la recuperación del turat, el legado tradicional. Esta tendencia, lejos de desaparecer, se ha visto acentuada y generalizada a partir del año 1967. En el presente artículo se analiza la forma en que Tawfiq al-Hakim otorga un nuevo valor a ciertos elementos del turat y cómo los integra en su producción literaria.

The permanent search for identity in the modern Arab world is shown in the literary scene through the recovery of the turat, the traditional legacy. This trend even increased after 1967. This article highlights the way Tawfiq al-Hakim chooses to grants a new value to certain elements of the turat and integrates them in his literary production.
