La Biblioteca del Duque de Gor de Granada

Abstract

Se trata del estudio realizado sobre la más importante biblioteca privada de Granada mantenida en la ciudad desde el siglo XVIII y, desgraciadamente, perdida para la cultura local en 1962, año en que por venta salieron sus fondos de nuestra ciudad. Rica en manuscritos, incunables e impresos de los siglos XVI, XVII y XVIII la Biblioteca de Gor constituyó uno de los grandes focos de la investigación humanística en Granada.

This is the study of the most important private library in the city of Granada founded in the 18th Century, and which, unfortunately for local culture, closed in 1962 when its contents were sold outside the city. Rich in incunabular manuscripts printed in the 16th, 17th and 18th Centuries, the Library of Gor was one of the important focal points of humanistic research in Granada.
