La repoblación del Reino de Granada: espacios y tiempos

Abstract

Se analizan las perspectivas de los estudios de la repoblación del reino de Granada en la época de Felipe II. Hasta aquí se ha privilegiado la dimensión micro-regional y el tiempo medio (1570-1600). Para valorar mejor el indiscutible fracaso de esta empresa, hay que recurrir más a las dimensiones regionales y locales tanto en el tiempo corto como en la larga duración. Se dan, en particular, algunos ejemplos de una posible fecunda microhistoria.

The article analizes the perspectives on the studies about the repopulation process in the Kingdom of Granada at the time of Philip II. Till now, the micro-regional dimension and the medium term period (1570-1600) have been privileged. In order to valuate more accurately the unquestionable failure of the repopulation, we should resort more often to the local and regional dimensions as well as the short term period and long term one. Some examples of a possible fruitfull microhistory are also given in the texte.
