Una aproximación a la historia de la familia como espacio de afectos y desafectos: el mundo hispánico del setecientos

Abstract

Este artículo analiza problemas de parejas surgidos en una sociedad fuertemente impactada por el juego de expectativas inherente a la realidad colonial. Los expedientes, tramitados en el Obispado Gaditano por mujeres que acusan a sus prometidos y maridos de abandono, nos ayudan a comprender las posibilidades que tenían las “mujeres solas” para adaptar roles y neutralizar las prohibiciones impuestas por un orden patriarcal.

This article analyze the problems of couples in the bosom of one society that is conditionate by of the expectations game of colonial reality. The documents, negotiated in Cádiz’s Bishopric by women that are accusing to their husbands of deserted their own families, help us a lot to understand the possibilitates that “alone's women” have to adaptate the rules and neutralízate the prohibitions of a patriarchal order.
