Análisis léxico de los Cuentos Inverosímiles de José López Rubio: entre lo real y lo inverosímil

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta un análisis lingüístico de los Cuentos Inverosímiles de José López Rubio, colección de veintiún cuentos publicada en 1924. Tras examinar los neologismos, los préstamos y los coloquialismos, es posible afirmar que en la obra se pone de manifiesto un contraste, intencional por parte del autor, entre los argumentos inverosímiles y el lenguaje, a veces real, a veces inverosímil. Este desajuste produce un original humorismo, el mismo que López Rubio expresó en sus posteriores piezas dramáticas y en toda su vida.

This study approaches a linguistic analysis of Cuentos Inverosímiles by José López Rubio, a book including twenty-one histories published in 1924. After examining the neologisms, the borrowings and the colloquial language used by the author, one can affirm that in the work there is an intentional contrast between the inverosímiles contents and the way the author represents them, fluctuating between real and unreal expression. This contrast produces a special humour, the same that López Rubio expressed in his later plays and in his life.
