Rafi` al-Dawla Ibn al-Mu`tasim

Abstract

Rafi` al-Dawla ibn al-Mu`tasim siguió la suerte de sus hermanos; tuvo que huir de Almería a la llegada de los Almorávides y pasar el resto de sus días en el Norte de Africa. En su obligado exilio compuso bellos poemas de amor y también de añoranza por su perdida patria.

Rafi` al-Dawla ibn al-Mu`tasim was as unlucky as his brothers; when the Almoravide arrived in Almería, ha had to flee from it and he had to spend the rest of his life in the North of Africa. In his imposed exile Rafi` wrote some fine love poems together with poetry related to his longing for his lost mother country.
