Aurelio Agustín: Retórica (Traducción y Notas)

Abstract

En este artículo ofrecemos al lector interesado una nueva traducción completa al español, acompañada de numerosas notas explicativas, del opúsculo retórico atribuido a San Agustín, y que diversamente aparece titulado como Liber de rhetorica o Principia rhetorices. La traducción toma como base de referencia la edición crítica del texto de C. Halm, Rhetores Latini Minores, Frankfurt am Main, 1964 (= Leipzig, 1863), pp. 137-151: "Aurelii Augustini de rhetorica liber". Las notas pretenden situar este opúsculo retórico en el marco de las doctrinas retóricas de la Antigüedad Tardía.

In this paper we offer to the interested reader a new whole translation into Spanish, with copious explanatory footnotes attached, of the rhetorical bokklet ascribed to Aurelius Augustinus and variously entitled Liber de rhetorica or Principia rhetorices. The Spanish version is made on the basis of C. Halm's text critical edition, Rhetores Latini Minores, Frankfurt am Main, 1964 (= Leipzig, 1863), pp. 137-151. The notes train to place this rhetorical booklet in the frame of the Late Antiquity rhetorical theories.
