Recreando una cámara del siglo XV: humanidades digitales e investigación del pasado

Abstract

Las ventajas que nos proporcionan las tecnologías 3D para la reconstrucción del patrimonio desaparecido y la necesidad de transferir el conocimiento científico a la sociedad, nos han llevado a plantear la reconstrucción virtual de una cámara del siglo XV en el marco del proyecto de investigación del Plan Nacional Las cosas por su nombre: (Re)construir la casa con palabras e imágenes, siglos XV y XVI (2023-2027). Nuestro objetivo es atender tanto al espacio arquitectónico, como al mobiliario y ajuares, dejando entrever también el aspecto emocional. No pretendemos recrear un lugar concreto, sino visualizar el aspecto general que podía tener una cámara de una vivienda nobiliaria castellana de finales del siglo XV y principios del siglo XVI. Hemos optado por elegir aquellos aspectos que son comunes en todo el territorio, como puede ser la confluencia del modelo estético nórdico, a la manera de Flandes, con el andalusí, la presencia de camas de paramentos, textiles, arcas, objetos de aseo, de cerámica, amuletos, así como mobiliario, imágenes y piezas destinadas a las prácticas devocionales.

The advantages that 3D technologies provide for the reconstruction of lost heritage and the need to transfer scientific knowledge to society have led us to propose the virtual reconstruction of a 15th-century chamber within the framework of the National Plan research project “Things by Their Name: (Re)building the House with Words and Images, 15th and 16th Centuries” (2023-2027). Our objective is to focus on the architectural space, as well as the furnishings, while also allowing for a glimpse of the emotional aspect. Our aim is not to recreate a specific location, but rather to visualize the general appearance that a chamber in a Castilian noble home from the late 15th to early 16th centuries might have had. We have chosen to select aspects that are common throughout the region, such as the confluence of the Nordic aesthetic model, in the Flemish style, with the Andalusian aesthetic, the presence of beds with walls, textiles, chests, toiletries, ceramics, amulets, as well as furniture, images, and objects intended for devotional practices.
