Abstract

En este trabajo hemos tratado de ofrecer a los lectores interesados una traducción íntegra y precisa del breve manual de métrica latina, compuesto por Fl. Mallius Theodorus (cons. 399 d.C.). Hemos tomado como base para nuestra traducción la edición de Keil (GLK VI, pp. 585-601). En las numerosas notas que acompañan al texto hemos intentado encuadrar su doctrina métrica en el marco de las teorías rítmicas y métricas de la Antigüedad Tardía.

In this paper we've tried to offer to the interested readers a whole suitable translation of the brief handbook about Latin metres, written by Fl. Mallius Theodorus (cons. 399 d. C.). We've made our translation on the basis of Keil's critical text edition (GLK VI, pp. 585-601). In the copious footnotes that go with the text we've attempted to locate his metrical teaching in the frame of the rhythmical and metrical theories of the Late Antiquity.
