La emancipación de la mujer a través de Tristana (1892) de B. Pérez Galdós y La Triforme (1923) de G. Xenópulos. Entre el deseo y la realidad.

Abstract

Este estudio pretende establecer el paralelismo existente entre el escritor español Benito Pérez Galdós (1843-1920) y el griego Grigorios Xenópulos (1867-1951). Asimismo, analizar sus novelas: Tristana (1892) y La Triforme (1923), que tratan el tema de la emancipación de la mujer bajo el influjo de la obra dramática Casa de muñecas (1879) de Henrik Ibsen. El cotejo de ambas novelas, adaptadas cada una a su marco socio-político y cultural, teniendo en cuenta el entronque de ambos autores en cuanto a corrientes y fines literarios, nos permitirá sacar conclusiones acerca de la situación de la mujer en España y en Grecia a finales del s.XIX y principios del s.XX.

In our study we have tried,on one hand,to establish the parallelism between the Spanish writer Benito Pérez Galdós(1843-1920)and the Greek Grigorios Xenopoulos(1867-1951),and on the other hand,to analyze their novels:Tristana(1892)and The three-sided woman(1923),sealed by the work of Henrik Ibsen A Doll's House(1879),which deals with the theme oft he emancipation of women.The comparison of both novels,each adapted to its socio-political and cultural framework,takingin to account the connection of both authors in terms of literary movements and purposes,will allow us to draw conclusions about the situation of women in Spain and Greece in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century
