La ciencia ficción como herramienta para seguir narrando el trauma: un estudio de Las chanchas, de Félix Bruzzone, y Nación vacuna (2020), de Fernanda García Lao

Abstract

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in sci-fi. This article aims to study the possible relationship between this genre, history and (post)memory. To do so, it uses, on the one hand, some literary theoretical insights and, on the other hand, it establishes links with some theories of cultural studies such as those of Hirsch (2000). Subsequently, two novels are analyzed in detail from this perspective. First, Las chanchas (2014), by Félix Bruzzone. Secondly, Nación vacuna (2020), by Fernanda García Lao. Finally, the study aims to demonstrate how Argentina’s dictatorial past continues to be a source of “rethinking” for new generations of authors. Rest in speculative fiction. En los últimos años del siglo xxi se ha notado un creciente interés por la ciencia ficción. El presente artículo pretende estudiar la relación posible entre este género, la historia y la (pos)memoria. Para ello se sirve, por un lado, de algunas apreciaciones teórico-literarias y, por otro, establece vínculos con algunas teorías de estudios culturales como las de Hirsch (2000). Posteriormente, se analizan en detalle dos novelas desde esta perspectiva. Primero, Las chanchas (2014), de Félix Bruzzone. En segundo lugar, Nación vacuna (2020), de Fernanda García Lao. Finalmente, se pretende demostrar cómo el pasado dictatorial de Argentina sigue siendo fuente de repensamientos para las nuevas generaciones de autores.
