Résumé
This chapter, titled "Precarity, Uncertainty, and Non-Sustainability," analyzes the structural incompatibility between contemporary (post-Fordist) capitalism and the ideals of sustainability and social inclusion. The authors argue that precarity is not a temporary market failure, but rather a fundamental disciplinary tool of the current neoliberal order.
