Abstract

The Sociology of Work is a fundamental discipline within the Sociology degree program in Spain. Its professional field is primarily divided into two pillars: the analysis of labor markets for the design of employment policies and the management of Human Resources (HR). In this latter area, sociologists contribute essential insights by understanding that the organization of people and their social characteristics are key determinants of productivity.
