Die kommunikative Praktik ‚Streit‘ im DaF-Unterricht und Reality-Shows als Ressource zur Vermittlung

Abstract

Streiten ist eine alltägliche kommunikative Praktik, die in der intra- und interkulturellen Kommunikation schnell zu Gesichtsverletzungen führen kann. Anhand einer Betrachtung des Themas ‚Streit‘ in einem DaF-Lehrwerk wird die Problematik der Behandlung dieser kommunikativen Praktik in Lehrwerken illustriert. Mit Rückgriff auf linguistische Studien und Gesprächsdaten aus einer TV-Reality-Show wird anschließend ein alternativer Zugang zur Behandlung von ‚Streit‘ im DaF-Unterricht aufgezeigt.

Arguing is an everyday communicative practice which can quickly lead to a loss of face in intra- and intercultural communication. Based on an examination of the topic of ‘arguing’ in a GFL textbook, the article illustrates problems in dealing with this communicative practice both in textbooks and in the classroom. Linguistic studies and conversation data from a TV reality show offer an alternative approach to the treatment of ‘arguments’ in GFL lessons.
