Sara Fistel, trazos de una feminista en la Argentina de entreguerras

Abstract

Este trabajo explora la experiencia de una mujer judía de clase trabajadora que participó en las luchas por la ampliación de los derechos civiles y la conquista de derechos políticos femeninos en un contexto caracterizado por la expansión de experiencias asociativas de índole feminista en la Buenos Aires de entreguerras. A pesar de formar parte activa y sumamente visible en asociaciones de librepensadores y feministas, Sara Fistel es una figura que ha permanecido desconocida dentro de la historiografía. La reconstrucción, que se hará a partir de fuentes primarias, fotografías, bibliografía y entrevistas orales, nos permitirá demostrar la vitalidad que tuvo el movimiento sufragista durante el período de entreguerras en Argentina interesando a mujeres y varones de diferentes estratos sociales que se comprometieron con esta causa.

This research aims to explore the experience of a Jewish working-class woman who took part in the fight for the improvement of civil and political female rights in a context characterized by the spreading of associative experiences of a female background, in Buenos Aires during the interwar period. However, Sara Fistel, despite having had active participation in intellectual organizations, is a figure that has remained unknown throughout history. The reconstruction that is going to be set from primary sources: photographs, bibliography and oral interviews, will allow us to set the strength that the suffragist movement had during the interwar period in Argentina, implying women and men from different social backgrounds who committed themselves to this quest.
